Moong dal(split) halwa recipe |Moong dal (split) sheera recipe |yellow lentil(split)halwa recipe
Ingredients:
1. 1 and1/2cup moong dal soaked in water for 30 minutes
2. 1/2 cup sugar(or as required)
3. 2 to 3 green cardmon (choti elaichi )
4. 3-4 Tablespoon ghee (oil or butter)
5. 10 to 12 kaju _crushed (cashew)
6. 1/4 cup raisins (kishmish)
7. 1/2 tablespoon chironji
9. 1tbs coconut powder
8. 1 and 1/2cup milk or water
Method:
1. Drain moong dal and blend it to fine paste
2. Heat heavy bottom kadhai and add ghee.
3. When ghee becomes hot add crushed cashew.saute
4. Now add moong paste and stir.
5. Keep on stirring continously so that dal does not stick to the pan and roast evenly.
6. Keep on stirring for 5 to 7 min till its grain changes its colour.
7. When turns to light brown colour and roasted aroma comes then add sugar (on low flame) and raisins .
8. Stir continously and add water or milk.keep on stirring ,moong paste will absorb water and the mixture starts to thicken .
9. When mixture leave the edges of the kadhai it (halwa) is ready.
10. Garnish with crushed green cardmon ,desicated coconut powder and dryfruits.
Note:
1. While frying mixture will splutter so be careful.
2. Add sugar as per your taste.
