Suji Besan Halwa |suji besan sheera



Ingredients:


1.     1/2 cup besan(roasted chana)

2.     1/2cup Suji/rava/semolina

3.     1/2 cup sugar(or as required)

4.     2 to3 green cardmon(choti elaichi) crushed

5.     3 to 4  Tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)

6.     10 to 12 kaju _crushed (cashew)

7.     1/4 cup raisins (kishmish)

8.     1/2 tablespoon chironji

9.     1 and 1/2cup milk or water


Method:

1.     Heat heavy bottom kadhai and add ghee.

2.      When ghee becomes hot add crushed cashew.saute

3.      Now add suji ,besan and stir.

4.      Keep on stirring continously so that mixture does not stick to the pan and roast evenly.

5.      Keep on stirring for 5 to 7 min till its grain changes its colour.

6.      When mixture turns to light brown colour then add sugar.(on low flame) and raisins .

7.      Stir continously and add water or milk.keep on stirring ,grains will absorb water and the mixture starts to thicken .

8.      When mixture  leave the edges of the kadhai it (halwa) is ready.

9.      Garnish with crushed green cardmon ,desicated coconut powder and dryfruits.


Note:

1.     When water is added mixture will starts to splutter so be careful.

2.     Add sugar as per your taste.

Raisin Cookies| kishmish ke cookies | Raisin biscuits Prep time:20min Cook time:20min Total time:40min Author:Seema priyadarshani Ingredients : 1.    1and1/2 cup maida(all purpose flour) 2.    3/4 cup butter 3.    1/2 cup milk 4.    50 ml condensed milk 5.    70 gm castor sugar 6.    1/2cup chocolate(broken into small pieces) optional 7.    1tsp baking powder 8.    1/2tsp baking soda 9.    1/2tsp vanilla essence 10.  1/2 cup raisins 11.   Salt as required Method : 1.    Sieve maida, baking powder and baking soda together. 2.    Whisk butter and castor sugar together till light and fluffy 3.    Add condensed milk and mix it.add flour and chocolate pieces ,raisins and form together into a soft dough. 4.    Meanwhile preheat the oven. 5.    Roll the dough and cut into fancy shape or divide dough into equal small portion and gently press to flatten it and place on a baking tray and bake it for 15 to 20 min. 6.    Allow the cookies to cool
