Gramflour curry  recipe|besan Sabji

Ingredients :

1. Bay leaves -2
2. Asafoetida
3. Mace
4. Clove-2
5. Cardamon -2
6. Cinamon stick-1(1/2inch stick)
7. Cumin seed ( one tablespoon)
8. Black pepper ( half tablespoon)
9. Two-Three red chilli
10. Two medium sized tomatoes(chopped)
11. Garlic-ginger(paste)
12. Turmeric powder(one tbs)
13. Dhania powder
 ( two tablespoons)
14. Back pepper powder( half tbs)
15. Cumin powder(one tbs)
16. Redchilli powder (one tbs)
17. Two medium sized Onions(thinly sliced)
18. Oil
19. Salt to taste
20  250gm Gramflour (besan)

               
                       Chopped tomatoes
                         Chopped onion
                 

               
Method:

1.   Take  besan and add half tsp turmeric,half tsp redchilli powder , half tsp ginger garlic paste,half tsp cumin seeds and salt to taste ,mix them altogether.

2.   Make batter by adding sufficient amount of water.

3.  Heat a heavy bottom kadai add  two tbs of oil .

4.   Add besan batter in it and stir  continuously so that lump doesn't form.

5.   After few  minutes paste will turn into a soft dough.  Grease a plate with oil.

6 .  Spread dough on the plate. Cut it into  triangular pieces(or any shape you like) .
6. Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry all dal  pieces in it.(you can shallow fry also)

8. Now add pinch of aesafotida in the leftover oil. Then add all garam  masala ( spices.)

8.Add sliced onions. When  onions turns transluscent add ginger garlic paste and tomatoes  (cut into small pieces).saute

10. When tomatoes turn mushy add powder spices and half cup of water .add salt to tasste.

11.  When the spices start realising oil add water for gravy cover and let it simmer for two to three minutes.

12.  After add fried pieces of besan. Boil it for one or two minutes.

13.Gramflour curry (Besan curry) is ready to serve.sprinkle some chopped coriander leaves before serving.

Note:
          Serve hot with paratha, chapati ,phulka or rice.      

                       This delicious sabji is very tasty.jeera (cumin) rice and raita(curddip) can also be served with this sabji.
