Ingredients :


  • 250gm Bhindi (Okra)
  • 2medium sized Onion finely chopped 
  • 2/3 chopped Green chilli 
  • 1tbs Fenugreek seed (methi)
  • 1tbs Turmeric powder
  • 1/2tbs Redchilli powder 
  • 1and1/2tbs Amchur powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2and1/2tbs Oil 

Method :


  1.       Take bhindi wash it and cut it into long slices. Keep aside 
  2.       Take onoin wash, peel and chopped it. 
  3.       Heat heavy bottom kadai or pan. 
  4.       Now add oil to it. 
  5.       When oil is hot add fenugreek seed, and chopped green chilli. 
  6.       Saute it and then add sliced bhindi .
  7.       Stir it and then add turmeric powder, Redchilli powder.
  8.       Now cover the lid and let them simmer for two to three  minutes on low medium flame.
  9.      Add sliced onion,, stir and then add salt to taste. 
  10.     Cover the lid and let them simmer on low medium flame. 
  11.      Turn it in between with the help of spatula so they can fry evenly.
  12.      Now add  amchur powder. 
  13.      Sabji is ready to serve.
  14.      Serve it with paratha or chapatis.        

         


Note:       
1.                bhindi is washed before cutting.
2.                  When amchur powder is added its stickiness is gone.
